The nine documents

• Transcript. Four years, ordered by year, with a column giving the type of instruction for every course. Lafayette College asks for both by name.
• GPA, weighted and unweighted. Credits and both averages, calculated as you type.
• Transcript legend. The school report asks for one by name. Most people have never heard of a legend and do not send one.
• School profile template. Built to Common App's fourteen published elements, at the one to two pages they ask for.
• Course description workbook. Thirty-two course blocks, plus a separate examples document with the same course written weakly and then well.
• Counselor letter framework. For the part where you write a recommendation about your own child.
• Activity resume and reading list. Both named in college guidance as part of the submission.
• What to send where. The colleges we read do not agree with each other. This says what each one asks for.
• The field guide, as a printable. The same words as the free guide, in a form you can hold while filling in the form.
